CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Pulmonology has welcomed Leslie Clever, a registered nurse, as the new Lung Cancer Screening Program Navigator.
Clever, who grew up in Franklin County, always knew she wanted to work in nursing and became an RN in 2012 working with Summit Physician Services before taking her current position this summer.
The Lung Cancer Screening Program provides low-dose CT scans for qualified patients to help detect and diagnose lung cancer.
As the navigator, Leslie is excited to spend more one-on-one time with patients as she helps them with program education, scheduling appointments and tests, understanding results, and more.
"I want patients to feel comfortable because I know they're probably anxious or concerned. If they need tissues, I'll get them some. If they need to talk, I'll listen," she said. "That's part of what I signed on for when I became a nurse."
Outside of work, Leslie enjoys spending time with family, teaching Sunday school classes, playing with her two dogs and bunny, reading, and watching hockey and football.
The Lung Cancer Screening Program office is located at Summit Pulmonology, 601 Norland Ave., Suite 100, Chambersburg.
For more information or to schedule a screening, call your primary care doctor or Program Navigator Leslie Clever at (717) 217-6001.
