What led you to work in Primary Care?
I wanted to learn and work in a place where I could know a little about everything, I did not want to just limit myself to one specialty.
What is the most rewarding part of your career?
Before becoming a CRNP, I was a Registered Nurse at Chambersburg Hospital. There, I was only able to see my patients when they were sick. The most rewarding part of my new position in primary care is that I get to have more follow through with my patients. I am now able to help them to prevent illness; but if they do get sick, I can see them through to the other side.
What are you most looking forward to about being a part of Summit Health?
I was born in Franklin County and lived here my whole life. I am very excited I get to stay and give back to the community I grew up in. Plus, the people who work at Summit Health share my passion to build a healthier community. It is nice to work with friendly people who share those same goals.
What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of your career?
I enjoy staying active and am an avid runner. I also like spending time with my family, especially my two children.
