Q: What led you to work in Endocrinology?
Answer: I come from a family practice background and was excited to get involved in endocrinology because I liked that it was applicable to any area of medicine. I also was interested because I have a family history of diabetes.
Q: What drew you to begin practicing in the Franklin County area?
Answer: I'm from the area, went to school around here, and did my master's degree program here. I wanted to help the people I grew up around.
Q: What would you say is a common misconception about Endocrinology?
Answer: A common misconception is that diabetes is something you get only if you are overweight and that's certainly not always the case. Diabetes is very complex.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about working in Franklin County?
Answer: I'm looking forward to seeing and getting to know many people from different walks of life. I'm also excited to learn the different facets of Summit Health and collaborate on how we can help our patients.
Q: What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of your career?
Answer: I like to be active and try to make time to exercise. I also like to spend time outside and try different sports.
