Q: What led you to work in Primary Care?
Answer: I decided on a career in Primary Care because in my schooling I did not want to just limit myself to one specialty; I wanted to be well rounded. In this office, I can see babies and I can see adults. This allows me to continue to learn and get exposure to all types of medical issues.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your career?
Answer: There is an opportunity in primary care to build relationships with patients because they come back on a regular basis. The most rewarding part is that I get to take time to know my patients. I can get them the help they need and they are appreciative. It’s like a friendship.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about being a part of Summit Health?
Answer: I was a student when I did one of my rounds in the same office I’m working in today. I learned so much here and I am excited I can go from being a student to a contributing part of the team. Also, right now, I’m the only female provider in the office so I’m excited to do some work focusing on women’s health issues.
Q: What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of your career?
Answer: I try to stay fit and enjoy going to the gym. I also love spending time with my family.
