Q: What led you to work in your particular field of medicine?
Answer: I have always had a passion for surgery since my formal education in physician assistant studies at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa. In 2005, the bariatric program began at Summit Health and I applied and was hired as the PA for the program.
Q: What drew you to begin practicing in the Franklin County area?
Answer: As a native of Franklin County, both my wife and I are from the Cumberland Valley and have family in the area. We have always loved our home.
Q: What would you say is a common misconception about your particular field of medicine?
Answer: I think that the level of care PAs can provide is misleading to the patients who may feel that PAs are personal assistants to the physicians and not advanced practitioners.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about working in Franklin County?
Answer: I look forward to helping grow the surgical services offered to Franklin County residents, especially in the field of bariatrics and minimally invasive surgery.
Q: What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of your career?
Answer: I enjoy hunting, soccer and spending time with my friends and family.
