CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Primary Care is pleased to welcome two new providers.
Dr. Pranav Tayal and Dr. Sowmya Kuppathil will be seeing patients at two locations – Summit Health Center – Building 2, 2nd Floor, and Menno Haven Retirement Communities.
Appointments are available for patients of all ages at the Summit Health Center. At the Menno Haven location, appointments are available to the public for adults ages 18 and older.
Both doctors join Summit Health after working as inpatient physicians in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As an Internist, they are trained in Internal Medicine, which takes care of adult populations, unlike family medicine physicians who are trained in all age groups.
"I wanted to have greater contact with patients to take care of them as a whole," said Dr. Tayal. "I want my patients to enjoy a healthy life."
Outside of work, Tayal enjoys spending time with family, going on road trips, reading books, and listening to music.
"I wanted to provide that continuity of care and be more available for my patients," said Dr. Kuppathil. "I feel that there is a need for continuity of care while taking care of a patient and this is what I have been trained for."
Kuppathil enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and watching movies outside of work.
