GREENCASTLE, Pa. – Summit Primary Care & Walk-in is pleased to welcome Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Amy Warner to their Greencastle and Waynesboro locations.

While she will be working at both locations, Amy will be providing family care in Greencastle and covering walk-in care in Waynesboro.

Having previously worked in New York City, Amy was looking for a change of pace before coming to Franklin County.

“I felt like Franklin County offered a lot of what I was looking for, and everyone was so nice when I interviewed,” she said.

“I like that I get to meet a lot of new people. I’m excited to have patients to work with and follow them as they go through their care plan, unlike in a hospital. I really enjoy working together with patients to create a plan where they’ll see results.”

One thing patients don’t always understand, Amy said, is when they should see a walk-in care, urgent care, or emergency room.

Walk-in Care, like our facility in Greencastle, offers treatment for common, non-life threatening conditions, such as colds, coughs, and flu symptoms.

Urgent Care, like our facilities in Chambersburg and Shippensburg, is similar, but offers expanded service hours and enhanced services for treatment of an illness or condition that requires care within 24 hours to avoid further complications.

The Emergency Department is available for life-threatening conditions and other illnesses and injuries. If you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, loss of consciousness, severe headache, severe abdominal pain, or severe bleeding, please go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 911.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys being outdoors – hiking, biking, and camping – and also enjoys reading and gardening.
