SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Summit Primary Care - Shippensburg Medical Campus is pleased to announce the addition of Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Page Kissinger.

Kissinger previously worked in Chambersburg Hospital’s Critical Care Unit for 13 years and wanted to work in primary care because of the patients.

“I decided to become a certified registered nurse practitioner for primary care because I like the contact with the patients,” she said, adding, “I’m originally from Shippensburg and I liked the idea of staying here to serve community members.”

Kissinger said a common misconception about primary care is that you only go there when you are sick.

“One of the most important things you can do for your health is to schedule annual wellness exams with your provider,” she explained.

She said she looks forward to making a difference in peoples’ lives as she helps community members stay healthy.

“I’m one of eight children and it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t know a member of my family,” she added. “I’m hoping that familiarity will give patients comfort when I’m caring for them.”

In her free time, Kissinger enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

“I have two children, two dogs and am getting married in June,” she noted. “Spending time with family is important to me.”
