WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Summit Primary Care – Waynesboro Medical Office Building is pleased to welcome Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Eileen Hissong to the practice.
A Greencastle native, Hissong joins the practice with prior experience in wound care and emergency care. She spent several years in the Waynesboro Hospital emergency department and also served as the Waynesboro Hospital Wound Care Committee Chairperson.
She is excited to put her background experience to use at the new walk-in clinic at the Waynesboro Medical Office Building.
“I’m looking forward to working the brand new walk-in clinic in Waynesboro because of my emergency room background,” she said.
Hissong previously worked as a medical secretary at Shady Grove Family Care and is excited to return as a provider. Shady Grove Family Care was renamed as Summit Primary Care and the services were transitioned to Waynesboro in May.
“I like the unknown, but I do like the helping patients with chronic disease management. The variety and balance is what I really enjoy,” she said. “I’m looking forward to working with patients and developing that relationship.”
Outside of work, Hissong enjoys outdoor activities, such as working in her yard and sledding, as well as sewing, and reading historical fiction.
Summit Primary Care – Waynesboro Medical Office Building is located at 601 E. Main St. offers walk-in hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
