WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Summit Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, currently located at Waynesboro Hospital, will be relocating their services to a new location, effective March 20.
The hospital service will be relocating to 500 E. Main St., which is located across the street from Waynesboro Hospital. The building will feature a fully-renovated interior, with an expanded gym which will double the size of the previous hospital space.
“Relocating our services will allow us to help more people, and offer greater space and comfort for our patients and our staff,” said Ginger Everhart, Director of Outpatient Physical Medicine, Wound Care, and Hyperbaric Medicine at Summit Health. “At the previous space, patients had to park across the street. New parking will be much closer, safer, and more convenient.”
“We are always thinking about new and better ways to care for our community members, and using our expertise to get our patients back to resuming activities that give their lives meaning. We hope this new space will provide a more healing atmosphere, because providing a quality experience for our patients is our number one goal,” she said.
The services that are relocating include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Wound Care will remain at its current location in Waynesboro Hospital.
