Yeun elected President of Grace Foundation
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Board of Trustees of Grace Foundation, based in Menlo Park, Calif., elected Chaplain Paul Yeun, director of pastoral services at Chambersburg Hospital, President during their annual meeting in April.
The Grace Foundation annually awards scholarships to students from China and other Southeast Asian Countries who are pursuing graduate degrees. The Foundation has awarded scholarships to 32 students this year who are pursuing graduate degrees in Christian ministry, teaching, health care or welfare assistance.
About Paul Yeun
Chaplain, Lt. Col. Paul L. Yeun, D Min, USAF-Ret., retired in 1999 from the active U.S Air Force chaplaincy services. He became the Director of Pastoral Care Services at Chambersburg Hospital in 1999. He received an achievement award in 2003 from the Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania for his outstanding community outreach program. Chaplain Yeun has served two terms as the State Chaplain for the American Legion in Pennsylvania and is currently appointed to serve as Vice-chair of the Religious Emphasis Committee of the organization. He is also immediate past president of the United Churches of the greater Chambersburg area.
Rev. Yeun received the "Distinguished Services" award in 2009 from the Association of Professional Chaplains. The award is the highest honor given to an individual yearly by the Association. In 2009, Rev. Yeun was also named Chaplain of the Year by the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. He is currently Adjunct professor of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Clinical Supervisor of Pastoral care at Palmer theological Seminary in Philadelphia.
