CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Local cancer survivors and their families are invited to join Summit Cancer and Hematology Services in celebrating National Cancer Survivors Day.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, June 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the King Street United Brethren Church, 162 E. King St., Chambersburg. Admission is free. However, RSVPs are recommended.
The event will include music, food, door prizes, and speakers with an emphasis on joy, camaraderie, hope, compassion, faith, and love.
“This is our chance to honor cancer survivors and their families for their strength and courage during a difficult journey,” said Shendelle Clapper, social worker with Summit Cancer and Hematology Services, an affiliate of Summit Health.
“It’s great to see such a supportive and loving network of survivors who come out year after year in this celebration of life.”
