Patient safety: Waynesboro Hospital one of the best in U.S.
WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Waynesboro Hospital was ranked among the top 10 percent of the nation’s hospitals for providing outstanding patient safety, according to a report released at www.healthgrades.com on April 9.
Waynesboro Hospital was one of 379 hospitals in the country recognized in the report.
According to the report, patient safety data for 4,729 U.S. hospitals was analyzed. Researchers used Medicare inpatient data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
“We take patient safety seriously,” said Melissa Dubrow, Vice President and COO of Waynesboro Hospital. “We have received three other awards in the last year that speak to our commitment to patient care and safety.”
Waynesboro Hospital earned recognition for patient safety and quality from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, The Joint Commission, and VHA within the last year.
