MERCERSBURG, Pa – The Cottage Open Golf Tournament will take place Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Whitetail Golf Course, 11573 Blairs Valley Road, Mercersburg. The tournament will begin with a Shotgun Tee Off at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will follow.

Proceeds benefit Chambersburg Hospital’s Hennessy Home where cancer patients receiving care at Summit Cancer and Hematology Services, and their adult family members, have access to temporary, affordable accommodations.

Mary Barbara Hennessy donated the Hennessy Home to the Chambersburg Hospital in 1999.  It was Mrs. Hennessy’s wish to share her home with others facing difficult circumstances.

The Cottage has held its annual event to support the Hennessy Home since 2000. To date, the event has raised over $48,000.

To participate in The Cottage Open Golf Tournament as a golfer or sponsor, contact Tom Boock at (717) 264-8543.  Registration deadline is July 18.
