CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Health is pleased to announce an expansion of its physical medicine services with the creation of the Summit Health Center for Dizziness and Balance Disorders.

Under the leadership of Dr. Michael S. DeCriscio, the new center will offer comprehensive services addressing dizziness and balance with customized patient programs designed by expert therapists. Services include:

  • Comprehensive vestibular evaluations
  • Computerized balance assessments and retraining
  • Fall prevention training
  • Canalith repositioning maneuvers
  • Post-concussion rehabilitation

The clinic will open July 10 and initially be operated out of Chambersburg Hospital, 112 N. Seventh St. It will transition to a new location across the street from the hospital at 59 N. Seventh St. once construction on the newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic has been completed.

Ginger Everhart, Summit Health director of outpatient physical medicine, wound care and hyperbaric medicine, said the center will merge the knowledge, skills and resources of Dr. DeCriscio; Summit ENT & Hearing Services; and therapists at Summit Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Dr. DeCriscio to create the Summit Health Center for Dizziness and Balance Disorders,” said Everhart. “This new clinic will allow us to effectively provide services for the population of patients affected by disorders and symptoms such as vertigo.”
