CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Many of us want to aim for a healthier lifestyle in the future, and this may even have been part of our personal New Year’s resolutions this year.
To help with this, Summit Health is creating an evening of health and wellness education focused on popular health topics, with hopes to keep community members focused on continuing healthy New Year’s resolutions, and even turning these resolutions into everyday lifestyles.
The free event, in partnership with Keystone Behavioral Health, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chambersburg Hospital Lecture Center, located at 112 North 7th St.
Presentations will be given on weight management, physical fitness, healthy eating and the relationship between food and our mental health.
“We know that it’s not always clear how to begin making the lifestyle changes you’ve been meaning to make,” explained Nickie Fickel, Community Health Manager at Summit Health. “Our aim here is to give you the tools and knowledge you need to meet your health and wellness goals.”
Healthy snacks will be provided for all attendees. Free body composition testing with our exercise science experts will be available after the presentations for anyone interested. Presenters will also be available after the presentations to answer questions one-on-one and provide more information on resources or services.
Registration is required by Saturday, Feb. 18th. For more information on the event, including parking information and how to register, please click here, or call (717) 262-4472.
