CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Health has been awarded ECRI Institute’s 2016 Healthcare Supply Chain Achievement Award.
The system is one of only 12 healthcare organizations out of 3,000 across the nation to earn this recognition. The honor speaks to the organization’s abilities to find cost effective methods to purchase needed medical supplies to support quality patient care.
Vice President of Supply Chain at Summit Health, Bruce Kehr, said his department focuses on saving the organization money without sacrificing quality.
“It is crucial we find ways to cut costs but maintain Summit Health’s high standards of quality patient care,” he explained. “This honor speaks to the hard work, collaboration and dedication of our physicians, clinicians and staff in that endeavor.”
The ECRI Institute Healthcare Supply Chain Award was created in 2012 with the goal of recognizing members for industry leading approaches to healthcare supply chain and value.
