Employees in the Critical Care Units at Chambersburg Hospital and Waynesboro Hospital and at other Summit Health affiliates recognized World Sepsis Day, Tuesday, Sept. 13, as part of an initiative to educate and raise awareness about sepsis. September is Sepsis Awareness Month. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that can occur as part of the body’s overwhelming response to infection and requires quick diagnosis and treatment.
