Summit Gastroenterology is pleased to welcome Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner MaryStuart Seifarth to its practice.

Seifarth, a Penn State Master’s Degree graduate, was introduced to the practice by Andrew Lininger, a former graduate studies peer and fellow certified registered nurse practitioner.

Seifarth is excited to serve the gastroenterological needs of the rural community of Franklin County.

“I have found in talking to patients and answering their questions that people have the misconception that gastroenterology is a gross medical profession,” Seifarth said. “It is not as unpleasant as they think and there are a great deal of benefits from using these types of services.”

Outside of work, Seifarth enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her 9-month-old. She enjoys doing crafts as her first degree from Appalachian State University in North Carolina was in fine art. She also spends her free time gardening peppers, tomatoes and okra to make homemade hot sauce and pepper jelly.

Summit Gastroenterology is located on the first floor of Waynesboro Hospital, 501 E. Main St.
