How do I schedule an appointment?
Simply call (717) 262-4600 to schedule therapy at any of our outpatient locations. A physician's order must be obtained prior to treatment.

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you call your therapist at least 24 hours in advance. While there is no penalty for canceling, we strive to get new patients into therapy as soon as possible, and missed visits prolong that process.

If I arrive late, will I be seen?
Our policy is that patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late, may, at the discretion of the therapist, need to be rescheduled in order to help us maintain our quality of care. Each therapist works on a daily pre-arranged schedule that we try to maintain, in order to provide each patient with optimal treatment time.

What should I wear to therapy?
You should always wear a comfortable set of clothing for your evaluation and therapy sessions. It is recommended that if you have a lower body or back problem, that you bring a pair of shorts to your first session - the evaluation.

What should I bring with me?
Please bring your prescription and any notes or reports from your doctor that describe your condition. You should also bring with you any x-rays, test results, or braces that your doctor may have given you.

What can I expect from Therapy?
At your first visit to therapy you will be evaluated to determine your current level of function and/or disability. This visit will last from 30-90 minutes. You and your therapist will formulate a series of goals for your course of therapy. Your therapist will create a treatment plan best suited to your individual needs, which will be periodically compared to your initial status, in order to measure your success.

What if I have more questions?
We encourage you to ask your therapist any questions you may have about your treatment. We want you to understand what is happening so that you can learn how to help yourself. If you are unsure of your therapist's instructions or your home exercise program, please call us to discuss your concerns.

What about my regular doctor?
We do not replace your regular physician. You should continue to consult with him or her for all your medical needs. During your course of treatments, we will communicate frequently with your physician, and provide him or her with copies of your initial evaluation, progress reports, and discharge summary.

How long will my Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) last?
The FCE is a two day test which will help to evaluate your ability to get back to work. Each day will take approximately 3 - 4 hours to complete, for a total of 6 - 8 hours for the duration of the test.

What about insurance?
We are a participating provider with most health plans, and also accept Worker's Compensation and Auto Accident medical coverages. Please be prepared to give our front office your insurance information. We make it our responsibility to verify accurate insurance information prior to your first visit, however you are encouraged to speak with your Insurance Carrier directly. Copayments, if applicable, are requested at the time of your appointment.

What else do I need to know?
To a large extent, the speed and quality of your recovery depends on YOU. You are a partner in the treatment plan created by your therapist and your physician, and with hard work and perseverance, you can achieve the best possible outcome.
