CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Calling all Operation game fans! Ever wanted to know what it is like to play Operation in real life? Well, now is your chance.

Chambersburg Hospital will be holding a da Vinci test drive at the Valley Mall, 17301 Valley Mall Road, Hagerstown, Md., with a da Vinci robotic surgical system on Friday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The da Vinci Si Surgical Robot provides surgeons with an alternative to traditional surgery by putting the surgeon’s hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform.

The da Vinci System enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision.

Chambersburg Hospital offers robotic surgery as an option for gynecological procedures and urological procedures, as well as general procedures, such as ear, nose and throat, gallbladder removal, hernia, splenectomy and colon.

For patients considering robotic surgery, benefits may include significantly less pain, less blood loss, less scarring, shorter recovery time, a shorter hospital stay, and a faster return to normal daily activities.
