WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Registration is still open for the upcoming “PreventT2” classes at Waynesboro Hospital.

Designed by the CDC, the PreventT2 program has been shown to help those with prediabetes make healthy lifestyle changes that can cut the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by more than half.

The program will run once per week for 16 weeks and then one to two times per month for the six months that follow.

Sponsored by the Summit Endowment, classes will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday starting July 12 in Waynesboro Hospital, 501 E. Main St.

The PreventT2 classes will be led by a trained health coach to help guide and motivate participants to reach their goals. Participants will learn tools to help them manage weight, become more physically active and reduce stress.
