CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Dr. Stephen Flack of Summit Primary Care – Summit Health Center Building 2, Suite 203, recently received the sixth annual Physician of the Year Award from SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice for his dedication to the quality of life of his patients and community in providing high-quality health care.
Dr. Flack is a 1989 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh before attending Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
The son of Dave and Rose Flack of Chambersburg, Dr. Flack has been practicing family medicine since 2000 and has practiced with Summit Primary Care for the past four years.
He has served as the associate medical director of primary care for Summit Physician Services over the past two years. He also chairs the Department of Community Family Medicine and the Chambersburg Hospital Bylaws committee.
Dr. Flack also spearheads antibiotics awareness initiatives and has been working to develop a Summit Health community concussion management program.
Personally, he advocates for better resources and information about autism, a cause close to his heart since his son, Noah, has autism. He and his wife, Tracie, created the annual Autism Awareness Fair more than a decade ago and continue to be instrumental in planning and hosting the event.
He and his wife have three children, Noah, Ethan and Addison.
