CHAMBERSBURG, Pa – During the week of December 14 through December 20, The Orchards Restaurant, 1580 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, will donate 10 percent of its proceeds to Chambersburg Hospital, an affiliate of Summit Health.

Michael Kalathas, owner of The Orchards Restaurant, said the bi-annual tradition is their way of giving back.

“We do a 10 percent week for Chambersburg Hospital twice a year. Every entrée that someone orders during those weeks, Monday to Sunday, goes to the hospital.  It’s a way that we help the community and give back to those who support our business through the year,” he explained.

Through its 10 percent week events, which began in 2009 with a gift to support cardiology services, The Orchards Restaurant has donated more than $33,000 to Chambersburg Hospital to support health care services in this area.
