MONT ALTO, Pa. – The addition of two providers to Summit Primary Care – Mont Alto Health Center means Mont Alto community members have even better ease of access to medical appointments with a caring team of providers.

Certified Physician Assistant Morgan Lee-Hippenstiel and Dr. Leo Kratz joined the practice in late 2016 and early 2017, respectively.

Dr. Kratz

Most recently having practiced in the Gettysburg area and with 25 years of experience, Dr. Kratz brings a passion for the wide range of patients served through primary care.

“I ultimately decided on primary care because I enjoyed the scope of care involved; the wide variety of patients, health needs and ages,” he explained.

Dr. Kratz said he is excited to be part of the Summit Health team as he helps meet the increasing health care needs of the local community.

“I’m looking forward to being part of a great organization, working with staff and colleagues and caring for the patients in our community.”

Dr. Kratz enjoys hunting, fishing and farming in his spare time.

Morgan Lee-Hippenstiel, PA-C

Originally from Bloomsburg, Morgan was drawn to practice in Franklin County because she is interested in caring for a growing, rural population. Like Dr. Kratz, she enjoys the variety of patients she can treat in primary care as well as the continuity of care.

“I enjoy the opportunity to help address the general populations’ health needs.”

Morgan noted that while the addition of both providers to the practice allows the opportunity to take even better care of community members, it is important patients address medical issues one at a time when consulting with their provider.

“If a patient is experiencing multiple health concerns, it can take time to address them,” she said. “It’s important that we consider each properly.”

A lifelong swimmer, Morgan still likes to make time for the pool. In her spare time, she also likes to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen and spend time outdoors.
