CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – As health organizations around the world continue to monitor the Zika Virus, officials with Summit Health are also keeping an eye on the situation.

“Summit Health will continue to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) recommendations and guidance regarding patient screening, testing, and symptom management,” said Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention at Summit Health, Ericka Kalp.

Community members with questions regarding the Zika Virus should speak with a healthcare professional.  More information on the virus, including precautionary travel recommendations for women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant can be found on the CDC’s website and on the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s website.
