WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Summit Surgical Group – Waynesboro has welcomed Dr. Collin Myers to their practice.
A Greencastle-area native, Dr. Myers previously spent 15 years in private practice in the Harrisburg area. The current phase in his career brings him back to his hometown region.
“My wife and I really view ourselves as coming here long-term and serving the community where I grew up,” he said. “It was a top priority that I be able to serve a community and keep our family ties. Pennsylvania is home. This is my home. So this is an awesome opportunity at the perfect time.”
Not only is Dr. Myers looking forward to being able to visit with family and old friends more often, but also he really wants to make a positive impact in the community.
“A lot of people think a general surgeon may not be approachable,” he said. “But I want my patients to realize that we come from the same area and background and I want them to be able to talk with me openly.”
Outside of work, Dr. Myers enjoys hunting and fishing. He refers to himself as an “eclectic collector” with an interest in coins, paintings, and first-edition books. Also, he enjoys antiquing with his wife.
“My wife and I love sharing in our daughters’ lives and we love our recent new role as grandparents. We share the same strong family values that are embraced in this community. We look forward to connecting and serving,” he said.
