CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – A Waynesboro family offered their gratitude to the staff of the NICU at Chambersburg Hospital by presenting staff with an American flag that was flown over Camp David in their  honor.

Tim and Kayla Schwab’s daughter, Sarah, was born at Chambersburg Hospital in February.  Sarah was born a few weeks early, and her family, appreciative of the care their daughter received by staff in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, offered thanks by way of an Army tradition.

Tim, who works at Camp David, presented an American flag that was flown over the presidential retreat and a commemorative coin; both are traditional ways of thanking someone for going above the call of duty.
