WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Waynesboro Hospital Gift shop recently donated its annual profit of $32,000 to the Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary to meet patient-focused requests from hospital departments.
“We are happy to be able to make this donation so that auxiliary members can purchase items to enhance patients’ experiences while being cared for at Waynesboro Hospital,” said Waynesboro Hospital Gift Shop Manager Beth Bryant.
Recent auxiliary purchases include a Lucas Device or Automated CPR Device, recliners for the Intensive Care Unit, sleep sofas for the Family Birthing Department, blanket warmers to be used hospital-wide and Achilles Units for bone density screening at the annual Waynesboro Hospital Health Fair.
Gift shop merchandise includes greeting cards; items for babies and children; fresh flowers; “Get Well” balloons and plush items; scarves and jewelry; handbags; metal wine caddies; Willow Tree figurines; generation frames; Fair Trade items; and seasonal merchandise.
The gift shop is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
