CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – They say the numbers don’t lie, but when it comes to weight and health, the numbers on the scale don’t always tell the whole truth.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, community members can get a quick, precise BodySmart screening at Summit FastCare inside Giant Food Store, 993 Wayne Ave. Screenings are free.
The BodySmart screenings use a tool called an InBody machine, which provides analysis of a person’s water weight, body fat and lean muscle mass, offering a clearer picture of what a person’s weight actually means.
“This screening takes a look at a person’s body composition and health in a way the scale or other traditional methods such as the Body Mass Index cannot,” explained FastCare Manager Dale Johnson. “We’re excited to offer this special service to the public for free.”
An easy analysis
Each BodySmart scan takes only a matter of a few minutes and everyone screened will receive a printed results sheet with BodySmart identification card to allow the tracking of future screenings.
To ensure those screened understand their results, a specialized fitness expert will be on-site to interpret results. Blood pressure testing also will be available that day.
