CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Orthopedic Group is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert P. Lyons will be joining the practice in April.

Dr. Lyons most recently practiced at Richards Orthopedic Center & Sports Medicine in Chambersburg.

“We are happy to see that Dr. Lyons will continue to be a part of the community. We are excited to welcome him to the Summit Health team,” said Dr. Anthony Bruno, of Summit Orthopedic Group.

Dr. Lyons graduated from Temple University School of Medicine before completing an internship in general surgery at the University of California at San Diego and a residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital.

He also completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at Brown University School of Medicine as well as a shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand reconstruction fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and also received subspecialty board certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lyons serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He also serves as team physician for the Harrisburg Senators baseball team.

Summit Orthopedic Group has offices in Chambersburg and Waynesboro.
