CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) International recently announced that Deborah Strong, Director of Development for Summit Health has received recertification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
As a non-profit organization, Summit Health relies on contributions from community members to help its hospitals and services serve our neighbors.
Strong said fund raising is not just about the dollars and cents, but about ensuring quality care in our community.
"I so enjoy working with the wonderful donors in the community who support Summit Health to ensure healthcare remains local," she said.
As expansions and renovations become necessary, fund raising efforts have helped ensure that state-of-the-art care is available at both Chambersburg and Waynesboro Hospitals. These acts of generosity support specific services, including cancer care and cardiac services, have helped expand services such as maternity, emergency and outpatient services, and have helped bring sophisticated diagnostic procedures.
Strong has been a Director of Development at Summit Health for eight years. Previously she was the Assistant Vice President of Development for GenevaCollege in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
Strong has been a full-time fundraiser since 1984 for various nonprofit organizations.
