CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Chambersburg Urgent Care and Shippensburg Urgent Care, affiliates of Summit Health, have earned National Urgent Care Center Accreditations after on-site assessments of the practices.
Representatives with the National Urgent Care Center Accreditation visited facilities in March and used standardized measures to rate them. Chambersburg Urgent Care and Shippensburg Urgent Care were assessed on a variety of processes, including the range of care offered, safety practices, compliance with standards and cleanliness.
“Patients who come to Chambersburg Urgent Care and Shippensburg Urgent Care already know the high level of care they receive in our facilities,” said Dr. Brooke Sheffler, associate medical director for walk-in and urgent care. “These accreditations reaffirm our ability to safely care for patients and our dedication to providing high-quality treatment.”
She added that when a patient comes to an accredited urgent care facility, they know the treatment provided will be of the highest national standards.
The NUCCA program is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides accreditation to qualified urgent care centers throughout the United States. It is recognized by leading medical organizations for the standards it sets.
