CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Members of the Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary plan and host fundraising events throughout the year to support the hospital. This year, their efforts will help provide life-saving equipment for patients at Chambersburg Hospital.
On June 2 members of the auxiliary presented Sherri Stahl, senior vice president of hospital services for Summit Health, with a $53,500 check, which will go towards purchasing new medical equipment.
“We are extremely grateful for this sizable donation and the efforts of the auxilians who volunteered countless hours to help raise this money,” Stahl said. “This is an immense help for our patients.”
The money was raised through various fundraising events, including the 8th annual golf tournament held in May. The tournament, hosted by the Chambersburg Area Hospital and Waynesboro Hospital auxiliaries, raised a total of $42,000, which was divided evenly for use at each hospital.
“The committee is to be congratulated for all their hard work and dedication in making this all happen, we are very proud of this large donation,” explained Mona Etter, president of the Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary.
