CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A little boy, born at 8:06 p.m., was the first bundle of joy welcomed by Chambersburg Hospital's Family Birthing Unit in 2019.
Cameron Cole Watson was delivered by Dr. Constance Glass, weighing six pounds, eight ounces, and measuring 18 inches long. First-time parents Brandon Watson and Devin Arruda, Shippensburg, said he wasn't due until January 4.
"I actually thought he would come late," explained Arruda.
Cameron's early delivery instead carried on a family tradition of shared birthdays; the newborn, also shares a New Year's Day birthday with his paternal grandfather, Michael Watson. His grandmother and aunt also share a birthday.
"I was hoping for it," said Brandon Watson, knowing his son's duedate was so close to his father's birthday.
