Waynesboro Hospital magnetic resonance imaging services receives accreditation

WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Waynesboro Hospital’s magnetic resonance imaging service (MRI) was recently awarded an accreditation as a result of a survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

MRI uses radio waves and a strong magnetic field rather than x-rays to provide clear and detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues.

Waynesboro Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Crystal Bassham is honored that she and the team have been recognized for their hard work in providing outstanding care to each and every hospital patient.

“It’s great to be recognized, but what’s most important are the strides we make every day to provide our patients with exceptional image quality, a high level of comfort and a warm smile,” Bassham said.

As part of the four to six month process to achieve ACR accreditation, board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conducted evaluations and assessed the qualifications of the personnel and the quality of facility equipment at Waynesboro Hospital.
