WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Waynesboro Hospital and Summit Women’s Group – Waynesboro staff will host a Holiday Reception to express their gratitude for the recent outpouring of support from the community for the family birthing unit.

The reception will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. It will be held in the Family Birthing Conference Room, Second Floor, Waynesboro Hospital, 501 E. Main St., Waynesboro.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served during the reception. Santa Claus will also be available for pictures.

"It was extremely touching and moving to hear so many stories and memories from our friends, family and neighbors about their experience in the family birthing unit," said Melissa Dubrow, chief operating officer of Waynesboro Hospital.

"Just a few months ago we had to take a serious look at our operations, and we feel fortunate that the outcomes were positive," she said.

"This community event is our way to say thank you for all of the support you've shown us over the years. We hope you join us in this celebration of family and the holiday season."
