VHA presents "Patient Care Excellence" award to Hospital

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - (Left) Mark Tino, Vice President of Performance Improvement, VHA Mid-Atlantic Region and (Right) Kathleen Williams, Director of Performance Improvement, VHA Mid-Atlantic Region, presented Jill Keller, Vice President of Nursing and Quality and Risk Management at Waynesboro Hospital with the hospital's 2012 VHA Mid-Atlantic APEX (Achieving Patient Care Excellence) Award at a ceremony on Monday, Feb. 25.
According to Williams, Waynesboro Hospital scored tops in quality and safety measures among the 57 acute care hospitals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. "Waynesboro Hospital has demonstrated extraordinary levels of clinical performance," Williams said.
"Every person on our team at Waynesboro Hospital is responsible for excellent quality care and patient safety," Keller said. "This award was earned because of the staff, medical staff, board of directors, volunteers and auxilians, and administration's dedication to providing top quality care to our neighbors."
