FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – The Splash Your Sole 5K™, sponsored by Summit Physician Services and The Runner’s Sole, will be held on Saturday, May 24 at Norlo Park in Fayetteville, Pa.

“This event will definitely be a colorful one,” said Rick Meyers, owner of The Runner’s Sole.

According to Niki Showe, Senior Vice President of Physician Services for Summit Health, runners and walkers will have the opportunity to get “splashed” with different colors of safe, non-toxic paint along the racing course.

“The Splash Your Sole 5K offers our community a fun, healthy physical activity,” Showe said. “It’s going to be a great day with music, fun, and of course, a lot of color.”

Each registered runner or walker will get a white t-shirt to wear during the race.

Registration is available online at www.solechallenge24.com/Registration. The cost is $30.

“The race will begin in two waves,” Meyers explained. “One group will begin at 8 a.m. and one at 9 a.m.  You can choose your start time.”

“Community health and wellness is a priority for Summit Health,” said Showe. “We’re excited to bring this event to the area and plan to hold it annually.”

Summit Health physician practices and services will also be at the event offering important health and wellness information.
