Sleep Center Opens at Waynesboro Hospital
WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Waynesboro Hospital has expanded their services and are now offering a Sleep Center at the 501 E. Main St. location.
According to Waynesboro Hospital Sleep Center Managers Jennifer Davis and Sandra Mosley, the Sleep Center helps doctors determine if their patients are suffering from a sleep disorder.
“If you are extremely tired during the daytime hours after you’ve had a full night’s sleep, or you snore, or you have trouble sleeping at all, you could be a candidate for a sleep study,” Davis said.
Researchers continue to report that poor sleep health is a major risk factor for many diseases, and can even contribute to weight gain, Mosley added.
“If you or your doctor would like to schedule a sleep study, the process is very simple,” Mosley said. “Our team will monitor your sleep in our comfortable sleep study rooms.”
Davis said that patients will be scheduled for sleep tests during their normal sleep hours.
“Some people who work third shift sleep during the daylight hours,” Davis explained. “We can accommodate them so they can sleep here, and then be able to start their work day in the evening hours.”
Waynesboro Hospital is an affiliate of the Summit Health system, which also offers Sleep Centers in Chambersburg and Shippensburg.
“We expanded to Waynesboro, so we could offer this service at a convenient location for this community,” Davis said.
“Our Sleep Center’s goal is to help you achieve a restful, healthy sleep, and we’re so glad to be able to offer our help in convenient locations for our whole community,” Mosley stated.
