Six area students earn scholarships from doctors
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Six area students, who plan to pursue or are pursuing health care careers, were honored today as the recipients of the Medical Staff Scholarship Award at a Chambersburg Hospital medical staff meeting.
Brianna Dade, of Waynesboro, is a member of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School class of 2013. She plans to attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in Medicine, specializing in Pediatrics.
Shannon Leary, of Chambersburg, is a member of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School class of 2013. She plans to attend Messiah College to pursue a degree in Nursing.
Angela Roach, of Shippensburg, is attending Franklin County Career and Technology Center's Practical Nursing Program and will graduate in August. Her future goal is to become a Registered Nurse.
Andrew Smith, of Big Cove Tannery, is a member of the McConnellsburg High School class of 2013. He plans to attend Purdue University to pursue a Pharmacy doctorate (Pharm. D.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceuticals.
Lakshmi Srinivas, of Chambersburg, is a member of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School class of 2013. She plans to pursue a degree in Biology and Pre-Medicine. Her future goal is to earn her Medical degree, specializing in Pediatrics.
Cynthia Weidman, of Chambersburg, plans to attend Towson University to pursue a degree in Nursing.
