Orchard's 10% Week to benefit breast cancer patients
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - During the week of October 13 through October 19, The Orchards Restaurant, 1580 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, will donate 10 percent of all sales to the Rhonda Brake Shreiner Women's Center, an affiliate of Summit Health, to underwrite free cancer-specific cookbooks for breast cancer patients.
The Rhonda Brake Shreiner Women's Center is located at 757 Norland Avenue, in Chambersburg. The Center offers breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment. The Center is nationally recognized as a "Breast Imaging Center of Excellence" by the American College of Radiology.
The Center also offers a Certified Breast Health Patient Navigator, who will guide patients through their next steps of care. She helps them better understand testing, procedures and possible treatments, as well as provides emotional support and education.
Through its "10 % Week" events The Orchards Restaurant has donated more than $27,500 to Chambersburg Hospital to support health care services in this area. For more information about the 10 percent week event or for reservations, call The Orchards Restaurant at (717) 264-4711.
