MONT ALTO, Pa. – Dr. Babak Behta has joined the providers at Mont Alto Family Care, an affiliate of Summit Health.

Dr. Behta comes to Mont Alto after having previously practiced in Carlisle, Chambersburg and Shippensburg. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his residency in Greenville, N.C.

The connections he makes with families, such as the time at a previous practice when he remembers helping four generations of relatives, is what lead him to pursue family practice.

“Family medicine is all about direct patient contact – talking with them, getting to know them,” Dr. Behta said. “I’m excited to be joining the practice here in Mont Alto, getting to know my patients, helping to make the practice more patient-centered and making lives better.”

Outside of work, Dr. Behta enjoys outdoor activities, exercising, riding his motorcycle, and playing tabletop games.

Mont Alto Family Care is located at 6155 Anthony Highway, Waynesboro.
