CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Summit Health Vice President for Supply Chain Bruce Kehr will speak at the 8th Annual Health Care Supply Chain Summit later this month.
“Conferences, such as this one, are a great experience to learn and share new ideas,” Kehr said. “Implementing strategic supply chain management tools really is a team effort that includes everyone from the CEO to the individual physician.”
Supply chain management refers to the processes a health care provider has in place to organize supply and demand of various items, including medical supplies and technology.
Kehr and Robert A. Simpson, president and chief executive officer of LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida, will speak about “Regional Collaborations – The Impact on Revenue and Savings.”
Kehr and Simpson plan to cover several topics including:
- Understanding how suppliers’ relationships play a role in Regional Service Center
- Discovering what happens to the medical distributor with a Regional Service Center model
- Learning what services can be offered from a Regional Service Center
- Structuring and supporting a Supply Network/Purchasing Collaborative
The summit is scheduled for January 28 and 29 in Las Vegas and will address the current challenges and information needs that the supply chain community is facing today.
