Get Fit Kids Program begins in January
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Summit Health will be offering a Get Fit Kids program beginning January 29 from 6 to 7:30 in the Family Life Center at The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, 221 N. Main Street, Chambersburg, Pa 17201.
Get Fit Kids is an 8-week weight management program designed to help families with overweight youth ages 8 to 14 achieve weight management through proper nutrition, increased physical activity and improved self-esteem.
In each class, youth and their family members will spend time with a registered dietician, an exercise specialist, and a mental health professional. Get Fit Kids attendees will also get to sample a healthy snack based on the nutritional lesson highlighted during class.
The enrollment fee is $10. Pre-registration is required. Call (717) 267-7960 to register.
Each child must attend with a parent or guardian. No physician referral or health insurance is required.
