Free grocery store tours - Be a healthy shopper
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Did you know that some of the healthiest foods in the grocery store are located along the outer aisles?
If you didn’t, have no fear. You can learn more about how to be a healthy shopper during a free grocery store tour led by a Registered Dietitian from Chambersburg Hospital.
The dietitians will be leading tours through the Giant Foods store located on Norland Avenue in Chambersburg.
“We want to use these tours to help educate our community on making healthy choices at the grocery store,” Julie Charnosky, Clinical Nutrition Manager at Chambersburg Hosptial said. “We can show you tools that are already in place to help you make healthy choices. We will also show you how to avoid the pitfalls of marketing and product placement, as well as teach people how to increase whole grains, lean meats, and other heart healthy options.”
The free tours will be held on:
- Wednesday, January 23, 2013
- Tuesday, May 14, 2013
- Thursday, September 26, 2013
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
