CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – In recognition of heart month, Summit Cardiology is offering free blood pressure screenings on February 14 from 8 a.m. to Noon and February 28 from Noon to 5 p.m in the Summit Health Center – Building 1, 755 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. No appointment is necessary.

According to Cardiologists at Summit Cardiology, high blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease, but it’s one that you can control.

“High blood pressure can be controlled through diet, exercise and sometimes medication,” said Dr. Michael Adenaike, Cardiologist at Summit Cardiology.  “It is something a Cardiologist can help you with if you know there is a problem. The important thing is knowing whether you have high blood pressure or not.”

Dr. Adenaike, a native of Philadelphia, joined Summit Cardiology in 2013.

“I am excited about what we are doing for the community through these free blood pressure screenings,” he said. “We want to work with patients every step of the way and coach them through the steps to good health from start to finish.  Knowing your blood pressure is a great way to start the journey to a healthy heart.”
