Chambersburg Hospital heart care top in PA

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa – Chambersburg Hospital is the only hospital in PA to receive the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Gold Performance Achievement Award this year. The hospital received the award on July 16.
“The award recognizes Chambersburg Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients that effectively improves the survival and care of STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) patients,” Alexander Kuhn, Vice President of the association’s Mission: Lifeline program, said.
“The hospital’s award-winning cardiology program continues to perform at top levels,” said Dr. Arshad Safi, interventional cardiologist with Summit Cardiology. “The entire team at Chambersburg Hospital -- from Emergency Department and Catheterization Lab staff to Cardiac Nursing -- is honored to be recognized for our dedication and achievements in heart care. We are even happier to be able to bring life-saving heart care to our friends and neighbors – right here at home.”
