Chambersburg Hospital heart care receives national recognition
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Chambersburg Hospital has received the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s “National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR®) ACTION Registry® – Get with the Guidelines (GWTG™) Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2013 – one of only 197 hospitals nationwide to do so. This is the second consecutive year the Summit Health affiliate has received this recognition.
“This award recognizes Chambersburg Hospital’s commitment and success in using higher standards of care for heart attack patients,” said Dr. Arshad Safi, Interventional Cardiologist with Summit Cardiology. “We set high standards for ourselves and for our patients, not for awards, but because your mom, your dad, your neighbors and friends deserve to have high quality heart care close to home.”
The hospital’s heart care team received national recognition earlier this year when they received the American Heart Association’s “Mission: Lifeline Gold Performance Achievement Award.”
