CHAMBERSBURG, Pa –The 14th annual Children’s Wellness Days was held from May 7 to May 9 in Chambersburg. The event brings area third graders together to promote concepts of good health and wellness. More than 1,500 students participated in this year’s event, sponsored by Summit Health and Susquehanna Bank.
This was the ninth year Susquehanna Bank co-sponsored the event.
“We’re excited to be able to continue to offer this important program to our area school districts,” said Nickie Fickel, Community Health Manager for Summit Health. “It’s important that our children learn about healthy habits and safety as early as possible. So we try to make learning about those things fun and interactive for the children.”
“Susquehanna Bank is pleased to continue our nine-year partnership with Summit Health in support of the Children’s Wellness program,” said Joe Zmitrovich, Susquehanna Bank Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Executive. “Through financial backing and volunteer hours, we are proud to be part of this educational initiative that encourages students to make healthy life and wellness decisions.”
